This is a cute little feather item that is very easy to do, and is very compact to transport. You show three Yellow colour feather plumes and a piece of paper. You roll up the paper to form a tube. As you pass the plume through the tube, the plumes change colour. Unlike in the Colour Changing Feather trick, you can open the paper at any time. There is no shell to hide or get rid of. You can also change the colour of the plumes by passing it under a hanky or do the change behind your back. As an variation in the presentation, you take a Yellow colour plume and rub with a RED hanky or a silk and the plume changes colour to RED. CHICO THE CHIMP

Two helpers are chosen from the audience and are positioned on opposite sides of the stage. A large heavy card (5 3/4" x 8 3/4") displaying a mischievous monkey is shown and placed inside an empty envelope. This is given to one assistant to hold. An empty envelope is then given to the helper on the opposite side of the stage. Chico the Chimp is to perform a daring escape from one envelope to the other. After some comical by-play it seems that Chico has failed because the card can still be felt in the original envelope. However when the card is removed the audience see a hole in the card the shape of Chico. It seems he did escape! The second helper open his envelope but it's empty. Where could Chico be? After some more comic by-play Chico is found stuck to the back of one of the assistants. This is great routine full of audience participation.

Twentieth Century Blendo

Amongst the finest, most effective and most popular of Silks effects are the 20th Century Silks, and the Silk Blendo.  By themselves they are both excellent and complete, and will add a splash of colour and mystery to any act.
We have now  both these effects are combined  into a single routine, using one set of silks, and giving you twice the surprise and twice the mystery for the price of just one trick.
In effect, the magician displays a large Magic Wand about 18" long and 1" in dia. Threaded through three holes in the Wand are three separate different coloured Silks. The middle Silk is pulled out from the Wand and vanished. When the other two Silks are removed from the Wand, the vanished Silk re-appears, tied between the other two Silks. (This is the classic 20th Century Silks effect).
The performer now takes the chain of three Silks, and passes them through his hands.  When the Silks emerge, they are seen to have blended into a large striped Silk in three different colours.  (This is the classic Blendo effect).

The Lewis Cone

This is not a stand alone magic effect, but a prop you can use in conjunction with many other colouring effects to enhance the routine.
The apparatus comprises of what appears to be a regular artist Palette, with six blobs of paint in different colours.  Just wave the Palette, and the colours vanish, leaving six empty? spots in their place. You can also do this in reverse, having the colours appear in place of the empty spots.

The performer shows two cut out rabbits, one White and one Black. They are covered with two covers, the White rabbit going into the cover with a White hat, and the Black rabbit into the cover with a Black hat. 
The covers are moved around, and the rabbits are found to have exchanged places. This is repeated a number of times, and your audience believes they have caught you out. They inform you that the rabbits are White on one side and Black on the other, and you are merely turning them around to change places. 
Finally you turn the two rabbits around, and show that they are not Black and White as the audience believes, but two entirely different colours Red and Green.

You start your favourite silk routine by telling the boys and girls that when you were little your Granny used to keep her handkerchiefs in an old battered sweet can, every time she needed to blow her nose she would take a handkerchief from the can. You show the boys and girls the old battered can telling them that you can do magic with your Granny’s hankies.  You unscrew the lid of the can and produce  up to 10, 9 inch silks from inside the can.  Showing the can to be empty you replace the lid  and on with your favourite silk routine … At the point where you realise you  need a magic wand  you unscrew the can lid NO WAND inside  but instead when you tip the can upside down you granny’s sweets fall from inside the can ??? METAMORPHO SPOTS

magician displays an empty Black can with White spots, and two silks - one Black, and one White. This is a White silk dyed Black, and this is a Black silk dyed White he says, and this is my Black and White transformation tank, which will make the White silk Black, and the Black silk White 

The two silks are now placed in the can, and again removed. There, you see ... the White silk dyed Black is now White,... and the Black silk dyed White is now Black again ! This is repeated till the audience realizes you are pulling their leg, and tell you so ! You appear hurt at this accusation of trying to deceive them so blatantly, and offer to make the transformation a little easier to follow. 

The silks are replaced in the can. You now pass your hand in front of the can, wiping off all the White spots. The can is now completely Black. The spots are tossed into the can. When the silks are now removed, the two silks are found to be spotted. There you see  .. the White silk dyed Black which is now White has the Black spots, ... and the Black silk dyed White which is now Black has the White spots !!
